However, his lawyer told the court that Ramgopal Varma could not sign the affidavit because he was infected with corona. The trial was adjourned to another day. The court adjourned the case till August 14. However, Amrita alleged that she had given false information to the court. Ramgopal Varma told the court on Twitter that Corona was not infected. Amrita's lawyer said the facts would be brought to the court's attention.
